BBL (BroadBand Light)

Clear, Even Skin Without Downtime — Non-Ablative Light Therapy for Tone, Texture, and Pigmentation

From $550 per session

Who It's For

BBL is a good fit for patients with sun damage, brown spots, or uneven pigmentation; redness, visible vessels, or rosacea; overall skin tone and clarity concerns; or patients who want meaningful improvement with no recovery time.

How It Works

Single session$550
4 sessions$1,900  ·  $475/session · Save $300
6 sessions$2,200  ·  $367/session · Save $1,100
All treatments are for face & neck. Additional areas (chest, hands, arms) available at consultation.

BBL uses precise pulses of broad-spectrum light to target melanin in brown spots and oxyhemoglobin in visible vessels. The light energy breaks down these targets without disrupting the surrounding skin surface. There is no ablation — the skin remains intact. Treated pigment darkens briefly before shedding, leaving clearer, more even skin underneath.

What to Expect

Each session takes approximately 20–30 minutes. Some patients experience mild warmth during treatment. After treatment, treated spots may temporarily darken over the following week before shedding off — this is the normal process and indicates the treatment is working. Social downtime is minimal to none.

Results

Most patients complete an initial series of 4 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, then 2 maintenance sessions per year to preserve results. Improvements in tone, clarity, and vascular appearance are cumulative across sessions.

Safety & Side Effects

BBL is extremely safe when performed on appropriate candidates. Patients with recent tanning, active sunburn, or certain photosensitizing medications are not candidates until these resolve. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation is possible in darker skin tones and is significantly reduced with proper pre-treatment preparation and SPF compliance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. BBL pairs well with CoolPeel CO₂ for comprehensive skin renewal, and with facial shockwave for tightening and toning. Your consultation will include a sequencing recommendation.

Side Effects

  • Temporary spot darkening: Expected — spots darken and flake off over 7–10 days. Do not pick.
  • Redness / warmth: Resolves within hours.
  • Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation: More likely in darker skin tones — strict SPF reduces risk.
